Texas de Brazil opened its first Huntsville restaurant Thursday after several delays at Bridge Street Town Centre.
Van Geroux, spokesman for the outdoor mixed-use development, confirmed the Brazilian steakhouse is now open in the former Tavern space across from Monaco Pictures. The 8,100-square-foot restaurant is Texas de Brazil’s second Alabama location.
The dinner-only restaurant, which specializes in 16 different grilled meats, is open from 5-9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5-10 p.m. Friday, 4-10 p.m. Saturday and 4-9 p.m. Sunday, Geroux said.
Texas de Brazil, a family-owned and operated chain founded in 1998, said it is one of the top U.S. Brazilian steakhouses, also known as Churrascarias. Click here for the full menu.
The Huntsville eatery has an open-view grill, chef’s table, private dining space, bar/lounge and indoor patio dining. All meat is prepared over an open charcoal flame and carved tableside by the restaurant’s “gauchos.”
Adult dinner prices range from $24.99 to $42.99 without beverages or desserts. Toddlers under 2 eat free, children ages 3-5 eat for $5 and kids ages 6-12 eat for half price.
Several new Bridge Street businesses are on tap for an early 2015 opening, including BRAVO! Cucina Italiana (Jan. 29), SHADES (February or March), Steel City Pops (early April) and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse (summer).
