Texas de Brazil in Detroit Hosts 5th Annual Eating for a Cause Benefiting the Dominique Fischer Memorial Foundation
Join us on November 8, 2015 from 1- 4pm for the 5th Annual Eating for a Cause to celebrate the life of Dominique Fischer who was lost to suicide on June 27, 2010 and to raise mental health and suicide prevention awareness. Proceeds from this event will support the Dominique Fischer Memorial Foundation, which provides educational scholarships at Detroit Catholic Central High School, Detroit Cristo Rey High School, NAMI Michigan and other agencies dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families living with mental illness. This year’s Dominique Fischer Memorial Scholarship recipients will be announced at the event.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness is the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of persons living with mental illness and their families, through education, leadership, support and advocacy. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.thenique.com/eating_for_a_cause__texas_de_brazil by November 1st or at the door on the day of the event. Ticket prices are $55 per adult and $25 per child (6-12) which includes the dinner, non-alcoholic drinks, dessert, tax and gratuity.
