Two new businesses coming to Crossgates

Two new businesses are arriving at Crossgates Mall.

Texas de Brazil is now open. The new location joins four other New York locations: Manhattan, Syracuse, Yonkers and Buffalo.

The new 7,500 sq. foot restaurant features a chef’s table, an open-view grill in the dining room and a bar. The space accommodates 230 customers and also offers indoor patio dining.

The steakhouse’s menu includes 16 cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and sausage, prepared in the traditional Brazilian method – over an open flame – and carved. Guests use red and green cards to indicate when they’d like to sample more cuts of meat or when they need to take a break.

The salad area features more than 50 items, such as imported cheeses, charcuterie, Brazilian black beans, roasted vegetables and lobster bisque.

Texas de Brazil at Crossgates Mall is open for dinner , from 5-9:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday; from 5-10:00 p.m. Friday; from 4-10 p.m. Saturday; and from 4-9 p.m. Sunday. The dining prices are $42.99 for a regular dinner and $24.99 for salad-area-only dinner (prices exclude beverages and dessert). Children under 2 years old eat for free. For ages 3 to 5, the cost is $5. Meals for children ages 6 to 12 are half price.

The second store opening soon is Athleta, a women’s sports and active lifestyle apparel brand owned by Gap Inc.. The stores apparel for yoga, running, swimming, gym, hiking and skiing – designed by and for female athletes. Athleta will be located on the upper level near Williams-Sonoma and is expected to open in mid-September.
